NAIOP Inland Empire Honored with Community Service Award

INLAND EMPIRE, Calif. (March XX, 2014) – NAIOP Corporate recently honored NAIOP Inland Empire with a 2014 Chapter Merit Award for community service. The chapter was recognized for its many annual charity and community service activities that raised a total of $31,000 for worthy causes last year.

The chapter’s charity activities include its annual $5,000 donation and volunteer contribution to Second Harvest Food Bank in Riverside; the annual Golf Tournament that raises approximately $10,000 each year for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation; the REXIE Awards that raise at least $2,500 each year for local Boy & Girls Club chapters, and its participation in the Ronald McDonald House Walk for Kids™ 5K fundraiser, which raised more than  $11,000 last year.

Each year NAIOP Corporate honors local chapters for their outstanding achievements during their annual Leadership & Legislative Retreat held in Washington, D.C. The awards recognize the best in community service, special events, publications, membership, advocacy, education, technology, and more. Recipients are selected by a committee of their peers comprised of volunteer judges.
