NAIOP Inland Empire Donates Time and Treasury to Feeding America Organization

Meals for less fortunate Inland Empire families

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (Dec. 9, 2014) – Giving back to the community and helping those less fortunate is an important part of celebrating the holiday season and NAIOP’s commitment to the region. On Tues., Dec. 9th, members of NAIOP Inland Empire Chapter donated $2,500 to Feeding America in Riverside (formerly Second Harvest Foodbank—Riverside). The money will be used to secure and distribute 50,000 meals, which will ensure that hundreds of less fortunate Inland Empire individuals and families will have food for the holidays. More than 30 members spent the day helping package and sort packaged food donations for distribution throughout the Inland Empire region.

“NAIOP Inland Empire is proud to continually contribute to the Riverside/San Bernardino area Feeding America Organization,” said Stephen Batcheller, 2014 NAIOP Inland Empire president and Partner with Panattoni Development Company.  “We applaud contributions of our members and sponsors for this meaningful charity whose objectives are consistent with our chapter’s values.”

As part of its mission to enrich inland communities, NAIOP Inland Empire hosts several local charitable programs throughout the year.  Last month, the chapter also collected canned goods, along with monetary donations at their annual bus tour for The Blessing Center in Redlands.
